The Piper Quilt in Various AMH Fabrics
Over the years, I’ve built up a pretty good collection of Anna Maria fabrics, so I figured I probably had enough unique prints to make the entire Piper Quilt without repeating a single one. I wasn’t wrong — and honestly, I probably could have made two or three quilts with how many prints I had on hand!

Revisiting some of these older prints was such a treat. They span the length of time I’ve been quilting, and using them brought back a lot of memories. The very first designer fabrics I ever bought were from Anna Maria Horner, Denyse Schmidt, and Lizzy House, so sewing with them always comes with a little wave of nostalgia.

This version of the Piper Quilt is SO COLORFUL and made me SO HAPPY. The Piper Quilt is all about bold, graphic shapes and there is a ton of visual movement so I knew that saturated, pretty colors would really pop in the pattern.

If you’ve got a favorite designer, or a stash of prints you’ve been saving for just the right project, the Piper Quilt is a great pattern to let them shine. You can use fat eighths, fat quarters, or scraps — or be like me and just cut one block from each fabric. This is a great option for leftover pieces from previous projects.

For my backing, I used an Anna Maria print from my stash. I really wanted to use the orange feather print for the backing, but I didn't have enough! So I used a similarly colored orange from my stash (it's Kona Coral).

You can find the Piper Quilt Pattern right here in the shop! Most of these prints are long out of print, but Anna Maria has new stuff coming out this year and her collections work together beautifully.
