Pattern of the Week — The Phoebe Quilt

Pattern of the Week — The Phoebe Quilt

This week I got to play around with the Phoebe Quilt Pattern and I'm going to get to share a really cool feature with you that is available at a fabric shop that I think you are going to love.

The Phoebe Quilt can be made with a jelly roll, fat eighths, fat quarters, or scraps. Depending on the fabrics you choose, it can feel more vintage-y or a little more modern. This is also a great pattern for a bold background fabric choice.

One of my favorite things about the Phoebe Quilt is that it works well with both prints and solids. Solids give the quilt a cleaner, more graphic look, while prints soften the design and add a little more texture and movement. And scrappy versions are always fun because the pattern gives you lots of opportunities to play with color.

And yes, this is the second time I have featured the Phoebe Quilt as the pattern of the week but I felt like doing it again so I went for it.

The Mockups

This is completely not sponsored, but a shop owner reached out this week to share a new tool she created that I think a lot of you are going to love.

Angela over at Sewfinity created a palette builder within her shop that lets you pull together colors from a variety of solids collections to create a custom palette. Even better, it lets me build color combinations and share them directly with you, so all of the fabrics are already gathered together in one place. All you need to do is click the "buy" tab, pick your quantities, and everything is available in one place.

I put together two palettes this week and linked them here (they are the first two mockups in this post). I’m always excited about creative ways to make quilting (and fabric buying!) a little easier, and I think this idea is brilliant.
