New Pattern – Meet the Ori Quilt

New Pattern – Meet the Ori Quilt

The Ori Quilt Pattern is now available! This design came together as a way to play with movement and layout while keeping the piecing approachable and versatile. It’s a great project for anyone who enjoys working with precuts or fun fabric combinations from your stash, and it comes together super fast.

Pattern Highlights:

  • Works with a Layer Cake or yardage

  • Includes instructions for baby, lap, twin, queen, and king sizes

  • Quick to make — I made the quilt top for each of my samples in less than a day

  • A good way to experiment with color and visual movement

There are lots of possibilities with this one — you can go bold and graphic or soft and subtle depending on your fabric choices. This is also a great one for being a little more daring with your background fabric color! I’ll be sharing different versions throughout the week to give you some ideas.

The pattern is available now in PDF and printed formats. You can find it (on sale!) in the shop so head over and pick up your copy!

p.s. This pattern uses the stitch-and-flip technique which creates some extra scraps so I just had to give you an option to use them up. I will be sharing more about this later this week, but check out this free tutorial for how to use your leftovers.

I just had to add one more idea: using men’s ties.

I’m thinking of my stash — so many ways to use it with this pattern! My African and Australian fabrics would look good here, as well as my Ruby Star fabrics. I wonder, too, about some of my multi-colored striped fabric. That could work.
