Meet the Zora Quilt Pattern
I’m so happy to share the Zora Quilt Pattern! Zora is a bold, color-forward design that puts fabric pairing front and center. Each block combines two fabrics in a simple strip construction, but the alternating block sizes and vertical layout create a quilt that feels dynamic and modern.

One of my favorite things about Zora is that it doesn’t require any background fabric. Your prints and solids do all the heavy lifting, which makes it a great choice for showcasing a favorite collection or working through your stash.
A Flexible, Process-Driven Design
Zora isn’t meant to be cut all at once and sewn assembly-line style (although you can make it that way). It’s more of a build-as-you-go pattern. I recommend cutting and sewing a few blocks, stepping back to evaluate, and then continuing as your layout evolves. That flexibility makes it especially satisfying if you enjoy playing with value and contrast.

There’s also a scrap option, which works beautifully if you have leftover Jelly Roll strips, binding ends, or small cuts you’ve been saving. The consistent strip construction keeps the quilt cohesive even when the fabrics are varied and the pattern gives you some guidelines for placement based on value so you aren't wandering aimlessly.

Zora Quilt Sizes
The Zora Quilt Pattern includes instructions for multiple sizes:
-
Baby Size – 40” x 50”
-
Lap Size – 60” x 70”
-
Twin Size – 70” x 90”
-
Queen Size – 90” x 105”
-
King Size – 110” x 105”
Behind the Design
When I started working on Zora, I wanted something that felt bold without being rigid — a quilt that relied on color and contrast rather than intricate piecing. I spent time refining the proportions of the different block sizes so the vertical rows would feel cohesive and rhythmic once assembled.

It’s the kind of quilt that can look completely different depending on the fabrics you choose, which makes it one I’m already looking forward to making again.
