The Stella Quilt in Art Gallery Pure Solids

The Stella Quilt in Art Gallery Pure Solids

You know I love a rainbow quilt and the Stella Quilt pattern makes an excellent rainbow! For this project I went for a more muted rainbow using a selection of Pure Solids from Art Gallery Fabrics (keep reading for a full list of colors).

Yes, this quilt is missing purple and purple is my favorite, but this particular combination of colors worked better without it. Especially when I decided to use this 108" wide print as the backing.

Of course you could make a solids version that isn't rainbow-y as well (I'm thinking about making one in various green solids for my new nephew) but I couldn't pass up the opportunity.

These are the colors used in my quilt. They are listed here in order and labeled A-U like they would be in the pattern.

A - Coconut Milk

B - Gentle Feather

C - Blushing

D - Miami Sunset

E - Desert Dunes

F - Autumnal

G - Aurora Red

H - Dried Carrot

I - Peach Sherbet

J - Apple Cider

K - Turmeric

L - Banana Cream

M - Honeydew

N - Lemon Tart

O - Zambia Stone

P - Swimming Pool

Q - Icy Mint

R - Tile Blue

S - Night Sea

T - Denim Blue

U - Periwinkle

My original plan for the quilting was to do vertical lines like I did for the other samples, but then I decided to mix it up and do a grid. I'm super happy with how it turned out.

If you would like to make a quilt just like this one, I have linked to all of the solids above + don't forget to pick up a copy of the Stella Quilt Pattern in my shop!
