The Piper Quilt in Golden Hour
A while back, these GORGEOUS Golden Hour fabrics showed up in the mail, and I knew I wanted to use them to make the Piper Quilt. It took me a little while to get to the project, but they are perfect. I love the color combinations and the different textures in the collection, and I love that the Piper Quilt pattern lets them shine.

Golden Hour is a mixed-weight cotton woven collection by Fableism Supply Co. The palette is made of golden golds and pinks and oranges and (my fave) purples. The collection consists of 15 yarn-dyed fabrics, and the subtle texture of the wovens adds a beautiful depth to the quilt top.

For the backing, I used a light purple Everyday Chambray print I had on hand. Normally I don't like to use solids as backing fabrics (just personal preference!), but I have found that these chambray fabrics actually really work really well on the back of quilts and give the finished project a nice weight.

For the quilting I did a serpentine stitch. I really love the texture this gives the finished quilt, but that is especially true for these woven fabric. The quilt ended up with a beautiful drape.
