The Nina Quilt in Love Always, AM

The Nina Quilt in Love Always, AM

A while back, I picked up a fat quarter bundle of Love Always, AM by Anna Maria Horner. I will occasionally buy a bundle of her fabrics and save it until I have just the right project and I am always glad that I did. This bundle was perfect for the Nina Quilt Pattern.

These fabrics pack a lot of pow and I knew that I didn't want to cut them up into tiny pieces. The bundle had more fabrics than I needed, so I picked a variety of prints that I thought worked particularly well together for my quilt.

The Echinacea and Postage Due prints are favorites from previous collections so I made sure to include lots of those. The cornerstone fabric is the Locket print in Coral.

I bought the backing fabric when I bought the bundle and I forgot that it was a 108" wide print. I do not know what I was thinking, but I started cutting and . . . well, it required some sewing back together. Note to self: do not cut fabric within 30 minutes of waking up.

For the binding, I went with Postage Due in Kaleidoscope because it's my favorite print from the collection. I love the color combo and of course, that it has some purple-y shades mixed in.

The background fabric is Kona Bone which has been a favorite lately. I go back and forth between which shades of white/off white from different brands are my favorite and Kona Bone is my favorite today.
