The Judy Quilt in Happy

The Judy Quilt in Happy

After I made this quilt a few weeks ago, I really wanted to make another quilt using the Judy pattern. When Windham sent me some of Carrie Blomston's new Happy/Colorwash collection, it was perfect!

My kids regularly come into my sewing room and are used to seeing lots of fabric. They rarely comment on it these days, but all 3 of my kids told me that they loved this collection. I don't think that has ever happened!

One of my favorite things about this collection is how well it varies scale, color, and texture. There are lots of things going on, but they all work really well together. There are also lots of near-solids which I love to have on hand for mixing in with other collections.

My favorite print is probably the lightning bolts, though all of my kids' favorites was the rainbow print. The pattern gives lots of room to show off the prints without cutting them up into tiny pieces.

If you would like to m make your own version of the Judy Quilt pattern, you can pick up a copy in the shop. Happy isn't quite available yet, but it will hit shops later this year.
