The Evelyn Quilt in Fine & Dandy
For my second Evelyn Quilt Pattern sample, I used Fine and Dandy by Fableism. I really fell in love with the fabric combination in this collection, especially the beautiful blues in combination with the purples and oranges. 
I love the texture that woven fabrics add to a quilt, and this collection has enough variation between the colors to keep all of those plus blocks interesting without making the finished quilt feel too busy.
The Evelyn Quilt is fat quarter friendly, so I used the collection for the feature fabrics and then added a background and accent fabric.
Choosing the Fabrics
For this version, I wanted to keep everything fairly soft and let the texture of the fabrics do a lot of the work.
Background Fabric: Pure Solids in White Linen
Accent Fabric: Pure Solids in Haze
The accent fabric is especially important in this pattern because it creates all of those little squares between the plus blocks. I love how that secondary design becomes more or less noticeable depending on the amount of contrast you use.
Finishing the Quilt
I had planned on buying some Fine & Dandy yardage for the backing of the quilt, but I got the fabrics just a teensy bit before they were released and yardage wasn't available yet. Since I had used one of the Suzy Quilts Pure Solids for the accent color, I found some yardage of this Slow Summer print that coordinated nicely with everything.
For the quilting, I did a serpentine stitch. I like to do minimal quilting with woven fabrics because I prefer the drape with less quilting. I love how it turned out.
