The Daphne Quilt in Forest Forage

The Daphne Quilt in Forest Forage

A while back, the kind people at Fableism sent me a bundle of their new Forest Forage bundle to use in a project. Do you see all of that purple in the bundle? Yes please! I knew I was going to use it for a sample of the Daphne Quilt Pattern.

The fabrics are a mix of a flower print and a textured solid-like print that when mixed with the texture of the woven fabric, give the quilt a ton of texture. They are so pretty!

For the background fabric, I pulled a peachy/pink solid from my stash (it's AGF Pure Solids in Blossomed. I think this pattern lends itself well to colorful background fabrics and this seemed like a good choice with the colors in the bundle.

The mix of value and color in the bundle gives the quilt an interesting mix of sweeter pinks and purples (the spring colorway) and more tart reds and black/dark brown (the autumn colorway). I loved using them together, but I think these two colorways would make such a fun pair of boy/girl twin baby quilts. I'm going to have to see if I have enough fabric leftover to do something like that with it.s

For the binding, I used a purple solid from my stash. The backing is a Fableism plaid print that I picked up just for this project called Arcade Plaid in Apricot. The colors from the Forest Forage bundle were an excellent match and the fabric is very soft.

The Daphne Quilt pattern walks the line between more traditional and more modern and the solid-like fabrics from this bundle give the quilt a more modern look. I love how bold the triangles look in this quilt!

Your Daphne quilt makes me so happy I have a bundle of Forest Foliage on the way. And your choice of that plaid backing is speaking my language! How beautiful they are together! I’m curious if using the wovens along side AGF Pure Solids will wash well with uneven shrinkage.
