Pattern of the Week - The Penny Quilt
I love the Penny Quilt Pattern. I love it so much that last year I rewrote it with expanded sizes and updated the piecing to make it more fat quarter friendly — I wanted it to be as accessible as possible. I’ve made it several times, and even hosted a quiltalong for it. I don’t usually pick favorites, but this one is pretty high on the list.

One of my favorite things about the Penny Quilt is how well it works with all kinds of fabric combinations. If you have a collection that feels a little tricky to use, this is a great option — the feature fabrics don’t touch, and the thin sashing gives everything just enough separation to let each print stand on its own without feeling busy. Plus the fabric cuts are large enough to show off fun prints.
