Pattern of the Week - The Melody Quilt
This week’s featured quilt pattern is the Melody Quilt, a design that holds a special place in my heart because it’s named after my mom. Today, I’m excited to share a little about her and show you a variety of new quilt mockups using this pattern.
Who is Melody?
When I was growing up, my mom, Melody, ran a daycare out of our home. It wasn’t unusual for our house to be filled with 10 or more extra kids each day, in addition to the five kids in our family. Over the 15 years she ran her daycare, dozens of children knew and loved her as "Miss Melody."
For the past 20+ years, she has worked as a middle and high school special education teacher, positively influencing countless students. Most recently, she has served as a graduation coach, helping struggling seniors earn their diplomas. She often works long hours right up until the last minute to ensure her students succeed. My mom leads with love, and that unwavering kindness is one of the most valuable lessons she taught me.
Melody Quilt Mockups
I’ve put together a variety of Melody Quilt mockups using both currently available fabrics and some that will be hitting stores soon. There are so many gorgeous fabric collections right now, and I hope these mockups inspire your next quilting project!
