Pattern of the Week - The Abigail Quilt
I love a quilt pattern that lets you show off large-scale prints. The Abigail Quilt Pattern is perfect for exactly that purpose. It’s a great quilting project if you want to:
• Feature a fabric collection
• Create a quilt with lots of visual movement
• Make a quick, satisfying quilt
• Showcase a traditional quilt block with a modern twist
How to Choose Fabrics for the Abigail Quilt
One of my favorite ways to make the Abigail Quilt stand out is by pairing contrasting fabrics. Think large-scale prints vs. small-scale prints or dark vs. light colors for high contrast. For example, try combining a bold floral print with a tiny geometric print, or a deep navy solid with a bright white pattern. This simple fabric selection formula creates a striking, dynamic quilt design full of personality.

New Abigail Quilt Mockups Featuring Current Fabric Collections
I put together several new mockups featuring some of today’s popular fabric collections. I especially loved experimenting with a dark background fabric — it really makes the quilt design pop!
Here are some of the fabric collections I used for these new mockups:
