English Garden Patchwork Quilt
When I opened the August Culcita box, my first thought was that I wanted to make a simple patchwork quilt with the English Garden fabrics. But then I thought I should probably do something more exciting. After playing around with ideas for a while, I ended up back with simple squares.
I mixed in a few solid squares to make the quilt a little larger.
Yes, that is minky peeking around from the back. The weather is cooling off here in Oregon and it gave the quilt some nice weight.
Finished Size: 45" x 60"
Pattern: patchwork squares that finish 3" x 3"
Backing: Minky dimple dot
Batting: Quilter's Dream Cotton Select
Sometimes the simple answer is the right answer. I really enjoyed working with the pretty English Garden fabrics mixed with that bright yellow-y green.
